Its been a long time since we updated our blog...
Its been a few months already since JY Animal World has been in operation...this few months we have many additions to our big big family. One of the many new additions are our baby raccons. There is a pair of them, totally tame and loving, very playful and they can now even eat on their own...
They are from the USA, they feed on basically anything. We feed them dog food, fruits and most importantly they need plenty of water... Very easy to care for.

WILD, TAME, HANDFEEDING & WEANING BIRDS

Though our company is only established this year, 2010, but we have been in this industry for the past few years already. We deal in wild birds, tame birds, handfeeding birds, weaning birds and all...

Some customers like to buy wild birds because not only are they cheaper but also many people want to try their hands on breeding them. Not many people succeed in doing so though, especially so for parrots as they are much harder to breed and need more space. Whereas the smaller species like conures, love birds, parakeets are much easier to breed.
Most customers like to buy tame birds which they can play with straight away, listen to them speak or for their children to play with. Of course, tame birds are much more expensive but they are worth the cost especially for certain species of parrots and birds as they are now very rare and hard to find.
Weaning birds which means birds which are learning to eat solid food are a good buy too.
The main point, handfeeding baby birds are the best choice for people who really love birds, have the time to play, feed and talk to them and of course people who want really tame birds who will be really close to them would opt to buy handfeeding babies. Chicks or handfeeding babies needs a lot of attention and must be properly fed otherwise they will choke and die. The best food to feed them is Kaytee for baby birds, or Kaytee for baby macaws if you have a macaw chick. Many people would tell you that you can feed macaws the Kaytee for all baby birds as it is the same as the macaw food but in fact, this is wrong because the fat contents and protein contents is different for all baby birds and the one specially for macaws. Macaws need a different formula compared to the one for general use.
Therefore, choose a birds which you feel is best suited for you.
But, generally speaking, birds, compared to other animals are much easier to handle and care for. But then again, all in all, all pets need your care and attention !
